Kalaburagi, May 17: “Once upon a time there was a saying ‘Congress means Indira, Indira means India, Indian means Indira’. Now Congress is reduced to such a state that it is not even fit to be an opposition party. Similarly, Kalaburagi should also be free from Congress. For this to happen, Priyank Kharge should be sent home first,” said state BJP president Nalin Kumar Kateel.
Nalin spoke at the meeting of Prakoshta Pramukhs on Monday in the city. He further said, “Dr Mallikarjun Kharge was a minister several times and also worked as union minister. Even then, why this district, which is represented by him is not developed? BJP workers have to work with more enthusiasm in this district.
“Lotus should bloom in all the nine legislative constituencies of Kalaburagi. Terrorism is the gift of Congress to the nation. All those who have become Prime Ministers when Congress was in power are involved in scams. During Modi and Vajpayee governments not a single scam has taken place.
“There is no other corrupt person in the state of Karnataka than former chief minister Siddaramaiah. If the Kempanna committee report about Arkavati and Reedu is out in public, Siddaramaiah will be in prison forever. Our government will do that work. During his tenure tens of scams related to beds, pillows, hostel, PWD, bore well and medical have taken place. DySP Ganapati also committed suicide during their regime. Siddaramaiah government did not conduct inquiry of any of the scams.
“In Congress, praises are heaped on members of one family. However, BJP which does not follow dynasty politics has grown as the largest political party in the world. Congress took two years to announce the state office bearers. It is dead in Karnataka. Is it possible for leaders, who are not capable to run a party, to run government in coming days? Congress is inside ICU. It is going to die before the elections. Due to the infighting of Congress, it will not be surprising if a chief secretary is nominated for every booth,” he said.
