Mangaluru, May 16: Chinnivish Kothari of Mangaluru has won the ‘Karnataka Pratibha Ratna’ award at a function held in Udupi on Sunday.
Chinnivish, who is studying in class 5 at the St Aloysius School here, is the son of judge Chandrahas Kothari and Premalatha. He has been recognised for his multi-faceted talent by the Akhila Karnataka Beladingala Sahitya Sammelana Samithi.
The 12th award ceremony instituted by the Samithi gave away awards to 18 talented children from different districts at a function held at the Udupi Harikandige Sri Mahalasa Narayani Devi Kshetra.
The awards that could not be given at the Sammelana held in Shravanabelagola in December 2021 due to Covid-19 restrictions were given away on Sunday.
The other awardees included Dhanvi Rai Kote from Puttur; Anvitha Vitla, Nireksha Vitla from Dakshina Kannada; Preetham Devadiga Mudradi and Tanvitha Mogaveera from Udupi; Pratham Marooru from Venoor; Ameen and Sanvi Gurupura from Mangaluru; Diya Alva from Moodbidri; Chittaranjan Kadamdelu and Adyantha Adooru from Kasargod.
