Mumbai, May 12: BSKBA Gopalakrishna trust celebrated the fourth day of Gokula Brahmakalashotsava at Gokula auditorium Sion east on Wednesday May 11.
Author Padmashree Dr S L Bhairappa, recipient of national award addressed the gathering.
Veteran author, scientist and editor of Gokula monthly Dr Vyasarao Ninjoor, author Mithra Venkatraj, Kallur prathistana Mangaluru president and former president of Kannada Sahitya Parishad, Dakshina Kannada district, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura were present.
Dr Ninjoor and Mitra Venkatraj spoke on the occasion.
Several rituals were held in the morning by priests Vedamurthi Edapadav Muralidhar Tantri, Krishnaraj Upadhyaya, Vidwan Panja Bhasker Bhat, Vidwan S N Udupa, Dinesh Uana and Padubidri V Rajesh Rao. Shashikiran Rao and Tripthi Rao, S Ramavittal Kalluraya and Jyothi Kalluraya, A P K Pothi and Sahana Pothi were in charge of poojas. Dr Manoj Hunnoor assisted in the poojas. Various mandalis performed Bhajans.
Nalin Rao and Veena Rao conducted devotional music in the afternoon. The arts division of Mysuru association Mumbai presented ‘Sakara’ Kannada drama written by Dr B R Manjunath. Amratha Nathu and Gaurav Bangiya played orchestra and Vidwan Pavitra Bhat and pupils presented another cultural programme.
BSKB association and Gopalakrishna Public trust president Dr Suresh S Rao Kateel, BSKB vice president Shailini Rao were on the dais. Sudhir R L Shetty, Dr Sadananda R Shetty, Dr P G Rao, Surekha H Devadiga, Dr Surendrakumar Hegde, Pareeta Srinivas Bhat, Bhujanga Rao, Tara B Rao, B Ramananda Rao, ladies wing president I K Prema S Rao, Vijayalaxmi Suresh Rao and other office bearers and members took part in the cultural programme and received Sirimudi Gandha Prasada.
Mamatha Shastri sang a prayer. Vice president Vaman Holla welcomed. Dr Rama Udupa introduced the guests and compered the programme. Treasurer CA Haridas Bhat rendered a vote of thanks.
