Panaji, Feb 18: The Captain of Ports-Goa conducted an extensive 'Terror Mock Drill' in the Mandovi river with the help of Navy, Indian Coast Guard, Customs, Quick Response team, ATS, Goa Police, Bomb disposal Squad, Fire and Emergency services.
The prime purpose of the 'Terror Mock Drill' was to test the preparedness of all the security agencies in the state and their alertness in the time of emergency and terror attacks.
The Fire and Emergency Services team along with the Goa Police cordoned the Captain of Ports jetty in Panaji upon receiving a terror attack call from the office of the Captain of Ports.
A joint team of Captain of Ports along with the Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, Customs, Quick Response team, ATS, Goa Police, Bomb disposal Squad, Fire and Emergency conducted a joint search operation on the Casino Royale vessel as a part of the 'Terror Mock Drill' conducted by the Captain of Ports in the Mandovi river in Panaji on Thursday.
All the marine traffic including the Mining Ore barges in the Mandovi river were stopped during the 'Terror Mock Drill'.
