Karnataka reports 171 fresh Covid cases, positivity rate at 1.09 percent

Bengaluru, May 7: Karnataka on Saturday, May 7 registered 171 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 1,945. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 155.

The death toll in the state has risen to 40,061.

The state recorded 121 discharges from hospitals on Saturday, taking the total discharges to 39,06,587.

So far, Karnataka has seen 39,48,635 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.09%, as many as 10,67,88,795 people have received vaccination so far.
