Udupi, May 7: Team of city police has reached Delhi in connection with the suicide case of contractor Santhosh Patil which made K S Eshwarappa to tender resignation to his minister’s position.
The cops are holding inquiry as the source who helped Santhosh Patil hold a press conference in Delhi earlier on the 40 per cent commission issue.
The police is looking into issues like why Patil went to Delhi, whom he met there and what was the conversation he had.
Santhosh Patil, a PWD contractor of Belagavi origin had written letters to rural development department and PM Modi accusing Eshwarappa of demanding 40% commission for releasing the bill amount. Later, he killed himself.
