Udupi, May 4: "Brahmakalashotsava of Kadiyali Shree Mahisha Mardini Temple will be held from June 1 to June 10," said Dr Katte Raviraj Acharya, president managing committee.
Addressing the media, Acharyya said, "On June 1 a grand Horekanike procession will be held from Jodukatte to Kadiyali temple. On June 8, Brahmakumbhabhisheka will be held. On June 9 at 7 pm Kola of Pilichandi deity will be held. On May 6 Invitation of the Brahmakalshotsava will be released by minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare Shobha Karandlanje," he said.
Everyday various cultural programme and performances will be held as part of Brahmakalashotsava. From June 1 to June 9 Annasantharpane will be held for the thousands of devotees visiting the temple.
"Seers from various mutts and other leaders of the community will be partaking in the religious meets during the nine days of Brahmakalshotsava programs. Muzurai department and Karnataka government has expressed its willingness to give autonomy to the temples, we have decided to submit a collective opinion on this matter. President and three members of the managing committee of the temples of the Udupi, Dakshina Kannada and Uttara Kannada will be meeting during the Kadiyali Brahmakalashotsava and a collective opinion will be created. This is a very unique program organized by our temple committee" said Raghavendra Kini, chief secretary renovation committee.
The Brahmakalashotsava Committee has planned to conduct the promotional activity in a unique way. The promotional messages will be printed on the Umbrellas and will be placed in various places. After June 10 public can utilize these umbrellas for protection from rains.
