Mangaluru, May 4: MLC Manjunath Bhandary will be conducting a gram panchayat level tour of Congress party’s elected and defeated candidates of gram panchayat, leaders and activists under Gurupur block district panchayat on May 5. District Congress president, Vidhan Parishat member K Harish Kumar, Rajiv Gandhi panchayat Raj organization district convener Subhash Chandra Shetty Kolnadu and Gurupur block Congress committee president Surendra Kambli will participate in the tour. The MLC has requested the concerned to take part in large numbers and make the programme a success.
The tour of Adyar, Neermarga, Mallur and Ullayibettu gram under Neermarga district panchayat will be held at Vishal garden, Neermarga at 2.30 pm on May 5.
The tour of Gurupur, Kandavara and Ganjimath gram under Gurpur district panchayat will be held at Megha Plaza, Gurupur at 3.30 pm on May 5.
The tour of Paduperar, Muchoor, Badagarapadav, Yedapadav, Kuppepadav and Muthur gram under Edapadav district panchayat will be held at Vandela Hall, Yedapadav at 5 pm on May 5.
Similarly the tour of gram panchayats under Vitla-Uppinangady block Congress district panchayats will be held on May 6. Besides Congress party’s elected and defeated candidates of gram panchayats, leaders and activists under the bloc district panchayat, District Congress and Vidhan Parishat member K Harish Kumar, Puttur Vidhan Sabha former MLA Shakuntala T Shetty, Rajiv Gandhi panchayat raj organization convener Subhash Chandra Shetty Kolnadu and Vittal Uppinangady block Congress committee president Dr Rajaram will take part in this tour.
The tour of Uppinangady, Nekkilady, Hirebandadi, Bajathoor, Perne, Kodimbady, Kedila, Bannur and Idkidu under Uppinangady district panchayat will be held at Hotel Aditya Poorva hall, Uppinangady at 2.30 pm on May 6.
The tour of Punacha, Kepu, Alike, Peruvayi, Manila, Vitla Mudnoor, Kodippady, Kabaka and Vitla Kasaba gramas under Punacha district panchayat will be held at Vitla Uppinangady block Congress office at 4.30 pm on May 6.
The MLC has requested all the concerned to participate in large numbers and make the tour a success.
