Mumbai: Seva Bharati to Hold 'Sangha Bharati' at Navi Mumbai on Feb 20

Mumbai, Feb 11: The metro-based Seva Bharati will organize ‘Sangha Bharati’ a mega summit of social activists from majority of Karnataka including Tulu, Kannada, Konkani, Muslim, Jain that are functioning in the metro at Bunts Centre, Juhi Nagar, Navi Mumbai, on Sunday February 20.

Seva Bharati president Jaya K Shetty informed about the mega event, while addressing the media person during a press conference, at Bansuri Hotel, Mulund, on Thursday February 10..

Sangha Bharati programme is the fourth programme that is organized by Seva Bharati to mark their silver jubilee celebrations. It is organized to identify veteran Kannada social activists regardless of religion who are serving across the metro, added Shetty.

Sri Dharmasthala Manjunath Education Society secretary Dr B Yasho Varma, Manipal University former retired vice-chancellor Padmabhushan, Dr B M Hegde and Supreme Court retired judge Justice B N Srikrishna will deliver keynote address on social service, better use and misuse of associations on the occasion, said Seva Bharati programme chairman Nithyanand D Kotian.

Sangha Bharati Lifetime award will be conferred to the veteran social activists during the valedictory ceremony on Sunday evening.

Dr B Yasho Varma will release the album of Vishwa Tulu Sammelan held in Ujire, Beltangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada at the leadership of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade during December 2009, said Award committee chairman Dharmapal U Devadiga.

Seva Bharati honorary chief secretaries Bhaskar V Shetty, L V Amin, G T Acharya, Vani Ucchilkar, Padmanabha Sasihitlu, Nratya Bharati programme committee chairman Y V Madhusudan Tao and Ashok Sasihitlu among others were present at the press conference.
