Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 24: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, April 24, reported nil coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero infections.

The total number of positive cases in the district stays 1,35,504 out of which one is currently active.

The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,480 as fine in 96,208 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

No corona cases were reported on April 24, the total active Covid case is one. No patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday.

A total of 10,82,776 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,28,880 have received both doses and 64,130 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
