Bagalkot, Apr 24: Hindu organisations have now entered the issue of gold purchase. Pramod Mutalik, chief of Sri Rama Sene, has urged Hindus to buy gold only from shops owned by Hindus for the upcoming Akshaya Tritiya festival.
Mutalik said, “We are successful in creating awareness among Hindu brethrenthrough Halal campaign. Now, we are running one more campaign for Akshaya Tritiya festival. All have to extend their support. Many Muslims of Kerala origin own shops in Karnataka. Do not buy gold from their shops.”
“Already 800 Hindus have been murdered in Kerala. If you buy gold from Muslim-owned shops, the profit will go to Muslim organizations. “ he said.
“Love Jihad cases are increasing in the state. Twelve thousand Hindu girls have been converted by the Muslims. When the situation is like this, will you still go and buy gold from their shops? If you buy it is like hitting your own leg with axe. So you need to buy gold from Hindu owned shops only,” Mutalik said.
When asked about contesting on a BJP ticket in the next assembly elections, Mutalik said, “BJP will not give ticket to a honest person like me. I will not contest. I have closed my doors to politics.”
