Mumbai: Mayura Varma Pathistana holds 12th annual conference

Mumbai, April 11: Mayura Varma Prathistana held their 12th annual conference at Kannada welfare society auditorium, Ghatkoper east on April 9.

Social worker, entrepreneur Polya Umesh Shetty inaugurated the conference and released the book ‘Sanatana Dharmavoo Prakratiya Aradhaneyu’, the tenth book published by the Prathistana and edited by Vishwanath Dodmane, their honorary secretary.

Prathistana president Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary presided over the programme. Gayatri family leader Jayalaxmi Shetty, presented the Chakradhari award of the Prathistana for 2021 to Dharmapal U Devadiga and Krishi Bandhu award to special Mumbai Metro officer K Shantaram Hamsagara.

Goregaon Karnataka Sangha president Nityananda D Kotian and Bantaravani monthly magazine honorary chief editor Ashok Pakkala congratulated the awardees. Nalini Prasad introduced the book.

Kannada welfare society honorary chief secretary Sudhaker Elloor, advocate R M Bhandary, former president of the Prathistana V R Bhat, Treasurer Padmanabha Safaliga, Dr Sathish Bangera, Nithya Mundkoor, Anagha Dodmane, Sudhugha Dodmane, Savita Suresh Shetty and others were present in the programme.

The programme began after a patriotic song. Vijaya Poojary and the party sang a prayer. Vishwanath Dodmane welcomed and gave an introduction. Uma Bhat and Kumuda Alva read the certificates. Usha Kodlekere introduced the guests, compered the programme and rendered a vote of thanks.
