Mangaluru/Udupi, Apr 10: Dakshina Kannada on Sunday, Apr 10, reported two coronavirus cases while Udupi registered zero case.

The total number of positive cases in Dakshina Kannada district has risen to 1,35,495 out of which 8 are currently active.

Two patients were discharged from hospitals on Sunday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,05,280 as fine in 96,208 mincidents of mask violation.

Udupi

No cases were reported on Sunday. The total active Covid case have risen to one.

No patient was discharged from hospitals on Sunday.

Udupi taluk reported 0 case, Kundapura 0 and 0 case in Karkala.

A total of 10,81,019 people have received first dose of vaccination and 1025102 have received both doses and 58,004 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
