Al Khobar, Feb 1: The final match of the ‘Askan Summer Cup 2011’ was played at Al Khobar Askan ground by Radicon and KFC (Krishnapur Friends Club). Heavy rain in the morning delayed the match by one hour and it was difficult to play on a wet pitch.

Radicon captain Niyaz won the toss and elected to field first. KFC scored 69 for the loss of all wickets in 16 overs .

Radicon started their innings poorly by losing 4 wicket for 4 runs in 2 overs, but Afwan Karkala and Rafdhi played a splendid innings and achieved the target in just 15 overs for the loss of 8 wickets.

In the first semi-final Radicon defeated UCC while the second semi-final saw KFC defeating Kerala 11.  

The tournament started with league matches with 12 teams from December 2010 and was organized by Saleem (Kerala 11). The management committee members were  present at the prize distribution.
