Mangaluru/Udupi, Mar 26: Dakshina Kannada on Saturday, March 26, reported zero coronavirus cases while Udupi registered two cases.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,35,480 out of which 9 are currently active.

As many as 1 patient were discharged from hospitals on Saturday. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,850.

The district administration has urged people to strictly continue maintaining social distance in public places and wear masks when stepping out of the house. Anyone not wearing a mask would be fined by the authority.

So far, the district administration has collected Rs 1,16,04,680 as fine in 96,200 incidents of mask violation.

Udupi

Two corona cases were reported on March 26, the total active Covid cases are 9.

A total of 10,69,289 people have received first dose of vaccination and 10,19,121 have received both doses and 52,543 people have received booster dose.

A total of 53 cases of mucormycosis (black fungus) have been reported in the district so far.
