Shimoga: BJP’s Poor Performance in CM’s Home Turf

Shimoga, Jan 4: In the zilla panchayat election, the BJP has fared poorly in Shimoga district, the home district of the Chief Minister (CM), B S Yeddyurappa, state BJP president, K S Eshwarappa, and legislative council chairman, D H Shankaramurthy.

The BJP has so far been able to muster only nine seats as against 13 bagged by the Congress, and six by the JDS, in the 31-member zilla panchayat. It may be recalled that the CM had exuded confidence of a landslide victory for the BJP in Shimoga district, and the setback in the zilla panchayat election has come as a loss of face for him.

    This should have happened all over Karnataka to teach a lesson to all politicians that they cannot just walk scot free after doing whatever the leader of the leaders have done in our state.I am not against BJP. Starting from my childhood days I used to like MR. Ramakrishna Hegde who was my favourite tilI was just in Ninth standard.Vajpaye was next.The leader has just failed to reach the expectations of the people who believe in principles,truthfullness,honesty and the value of tongue., which the leader in question dosen t know the defination of those things at least one of those above said. If known he would have ruled for many years to come.
