Mangalore: DC Subhod Yadav Scrutinizes Counting Centre at Rosario School

Mangalore, Jan 3: As the voters are eagerly waiting for the results of TP and ZP elections, DC Subhod Yadav visited Rosario School here to inspect the school premises wherein counting of votes will take place on Tuesday January 4.
Apart from a few minor incidents, the election for Taluk and Zilla panchayat seats were completed peacefully across the Dakshina Kannada district on Friday December 31.
A voting percentage of 67.76 percent was recorded in 1027 polling booths in 35 Zilla Panchayat (ZP) and 129 Taluk Panchayat (TP) constituencies, spread over DK’s five taluks during the second phase of the state-wide ZP/TP elections held on Friday December 31.
The highest voting percentage of 71.98 percent was recorded in Sullia, while 69.36 percent was recorded in Puttur, 65.22 percent in Mangalore, 50.61 percent in Belthangady, and 46.67 percent in Bantwal.
Dr Subramanyeshwar Rao, DK district Superintendent of police, was also present along with DC.
