Udupi, Feb 16: MLA Raghupati Bhat has written to the state home minister, seeking to hold a high level inquiry into the Hijab-saffron controversy which started here all of a sudden unexpectedly. In a letter written to the minister, Araga Jnanendra, Bhat has pleaded for an inquiry.
He said that organizations powered by Islamic agenda have been spreading communalism and unrest in the society and there is a need to treat these things with utmost seriousness. He has alleged that Islamic organizations had provided training to the 12 Muslim girl students of a PU college here at a secret spot.

He wants an in-depth probe to be conducted into the incident to make sure that truth prevails.
