'Rudra: The Edge of Darkness' poster features Ajay Devgn's titular character in thematic pit of dar


Mumbai, Feb 13 (IANS): The makers of Ajay Devgn-starrer web series, 'Rudra: The Edge of Darkness', released a poster featuring the actor in an overhead shot. The trailer is set to hit the airwaves on Monday.

The six-part thriller series, which marks Ajay's digital debut as an actor, is based on the hit BBC series 'Luther', starring Idris Elba, and will be available to stream on Disney+ Hotstar.

The streaming platform shared the poster of the series on their Instagram as they wrote in the caption, "Kanoon todne walon ko todne aa raha hai Rudra. #HotstarSpecials #Rudra - trailer out tomorrow".

In addition, the series also serves as a comeback vehicle for Bollywood actress Esha Deol, and it explores the psyche of highly intelligent criminals in each episode and a detective who hunts them.

It also showcases in the grave personal cost at which Ajay's titular character of DCP Rudra Veer Singh as he chases down the killers and the unlikely friendship that he forms with Aliyah, a genius sociopath thereby factoring in a slight 'Silence of the Lambs' route as well. The series directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, also stars includes Raashi Khanna, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi and Satyadeep Misra.
