Mangaluru, Feb 4: "In the guise of pseudo-secularism, the tiger has been announced as the national animal of the country, instead of a cow. This is why the violence and conversion are relentlessly taking place," said RSS leader and Puttur Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha president Dr. Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat.
He was speaking during the anniversary of Amruthadara Gaushala and the foundation stone laying for the new Gaushala in Punyakotinagara of Kairangala on Thursday, February 3.
"Though the tiger is a national animal it cannot be worshiped. Motherly devotion can be shown only to the cow," Bhat opined.
"The tiger has been declared as our national animal only with secular thought but it is the cow that has been worshipped as the national animal for the past several years. But today, we are feeding cows to the cow slaughterers like during Mahabharath days demon Bakasura was fed with humans by hapless people, " Bhat expressed.
"We should build a strong Hindu society for the protection of cows after learning from the present crisis. The milk of the Indian cow is so nutritious," he opined.
He also lauded the work by the Amruthadhara Gaushala.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhagwatha Patla Sathish Shetty said, "Rajaram Bhat is an inspiration to society with his Gau Seva."
BJP district president Sudarshan Moodbidri presided.
Matha Developers owner Santhosh Shetty, Havyaka Mahamandala general secretary Nagaraj Bhat, Hindu organsation leader Ganesh Kedila, Mithun Kalladka and Vijith Shetty were present.
