Panaji, Dec 23: The 10th Goa State Under -16 School Tennis Ball Cricket Championships for boys and girls was held at Mardol, Ponda here on Tuesday December 23.
Wagle High School, Mangueshim (Boys) and Sharada English High School, Marcela (Girls) emerged winners of the tourney organized by Goa Tennis Ball Cricket Association and Wagle High School in collaboration with The Sports Authority of Goa.
Runners-up among boys is St Rita High School, Colvale team and among girls is Rosary High School, Dona-Paulo

Girls
Sharada English High School defeated Rosary High school, Dona-Paulo
Rosary batting first scored 42 runs in allotted 8 overs, Pranzali scored 11 runs, Shilpa scored 9 runs, for Sharada High School, Saili and Vidhaksha took 1 wicket each. In reply Sharada English High School scored the required runs in 4.1 overs, Sacchi scored 17 runs and Rakshanda scored 9 runs. Won by 8 wickets.
Saurabh Lotlikar, social worker and businessman , Ponda was the chief guest, Shivadas Gaude, zilha panchayat member, Priol was guest of honour. Also present were Gitesh Naik, businessman and social worker Avdoot Kamat, vice-chairman Manguirish Vidyadaini Saunstha, Mangueshim, Niti Kamat, headmistress, Wagle High School, Vasu Naik, journalist, Tarun Bharat, Sudan Kunkolikar, junior engineer, electricity department, Devanand Naik, businessman and other officials of GTBCA and Wagle High School.
The successful teams and players were awarded trophies, cash prizes, medal and momentoes at the hands of the guest.
Niti Kamat, headmistress welcome the guests and later Nilesh Naik proposed the vote of the thanks.
The championship was supervised by SAG coaches, senior players and officials of GTBCA.
