Bengaluru, Jan 30: People who have not been administered anti-Covid vaccine constitute nearly 87% of coronavirus-related deaths reported in the state, claim reports.
The matter came to light when the deaths that have occurred in the past month in Karnataka were verified. Though Omicron infection is in decline in the state, the number of deaths is increasing.
Among those who are dying, most have either not taken both doses of coronavirus vaccine or are suffering from comorbidities.

Between January 20 and 27, as many as 373 people have died, out of which 323 people had not taken two doses of coronavirus vaccination. In addition, 210 people have died due to comorbidites. Deaths due to only coronavirus-related complications has increased by three times.
According to the statistics, the number of deaths are more in the age group of 30 to 39 years. According to the statistics of past 10 days, three people have died in the age group of 0 to nine years, seven in nine to 19, three in 20 to 29, 55 in 30 to 39, 46 in 40 to 49, zero in both 50 to 59 and 60 to 69, 20 in 70 to 79, 35 in 80 to 89 and 90 to 99 and 23 people have died above the age of 100 years.
Out of the total cases that are detected in Karnataka, 67.5% are Omicron virus related. In the second wave around 91% were Delta related. The health department has confirmed that the intensity of Delta was more in the second wave compared to first and third.
