Mangaluru: State BJP pro-Hindu, temples to be free from govt control – Minister

Mangaluru, Jan 28: In-charge minister of Dakshina Kannada district V Sunil Kumar said that a plan will be chalked out to develop Dakshina Kannada district in the next 10 years after holding discussions with the MLAs of the district.

The minister was speaking after accepting the felicitation at the district BJP office on being appointed as the in-charge minister for DK.

He said, “The government in Karnataka is pro-Hindu. That is why we have brought anti cow slaughter and anti-religious conversion laws. We are also making an effort to give autonomous status to Hindu temples from the clutches of the government.

“Some people have brought stay to the anti-cow slaughter bill through the court. Once it is quashed, the law will be implemented.”

Dakshina Kannada BJP president Sudarshan Moodbidri, MLAs Vedavyas Kamath, Dr Y Bharath Shetty and MCC Mayor Premanand Shetty were present.

    A government minister to declare that his government is pro Hindu or pro Muslim is against the Constitution which says India is a secular state. He is violating the oath that he has taken while he was sworn in as minister.

    It was reported recently that the Minister arranged for donation of cows to a family in Karkala whose cows were stolen .While saying that the Government is pro Hindu, the minister may be trying to convey that the family in Bondel whose cows were stolen may not get any donation in the form of cows from the Minister.

    Welcome step. But he should clarify where the government is going to spend those temple funds. Because, What we see is government is spending crores and crores of rupees for temples from tax payers' money. Furthermore, it is also providing so much of subsidies for pilgrimages of these temples; again from tax payers' money. And again it loots from the general public in the form of very high GST tax and from petrol/diesel prices.

    Various governments have looted money from Hindu Temples and used that money for the welfare of their vote banks. While on the subject of tax payers, those with little bit of general knowledge knows who pays taxes and who are just believe in receiving freebies shamelessly.

    'Kaat ki handi baar baar nahi chadthi' dost. Manushya ko do waqt ki roti mahatva hai. Hindu, muslim,sikh esai se nahi. Stop fooling. First decide who are Hindus in your community bcoz openion polls of the 5 states predicted Hindutva wadi govt will end up with humiliation defeats. WBengal, kerala,chattisgarh,Rajasthan TN, AP, Msharashtra, Punjab has already shown the doors to BJP many more will in coming days.

    Hindu temples and the huge income generated by those temples in some neighbouring states are under the control of non-Hindus.In other words Hindus and Hindu temples are still not free even seventy-five years after 1947.
