Bantwal: Four Injured Seriously in Truck-car Accident

Bantwal, Dec 10: Four persons travelling in a Maruti Alto car suffered serious injuries, after their vehicle collided with a lorry coming from opposite direction on Thursday December 9. The accident occurred at Denjipady, Panemangalore, near here.

Abdul Karim (24), Mohiuddin (55), Aziz (34), and Nasir (22), from Vittal Adyanadka, suffered injuries in the accident. All of them were admitted into a private hospital in Mangalore for treatment.

Due to the impact of the accident, the front portion of the car turned into a mass of mangled steel. One of the front wheels of the lorry also came off. A case was registered in the local police station. The preliminary assessment of the policemen is that reckless driving had caused this accident.
