Beltangady: Jammat-e-Islami Hind, Youth Wing Donates House to Poor

Beltangady, Dec 9: Jammat-e-Islami Hind, youth wing has been extending its support to poor homeless whereas government needs to be looking into such problems, said local MLA Vasant Bangera.

He was speaking after handing over the keys of the house built at a cost of Rs 1.6 lac by the organization to Aisamma. He added that under the programme, Towards hunger free society, the organization has been distributing ration costing Rs 1,000 to 150 families on a monthly basis without charging a penny, while the government has been charging for the same, he observed.

In his address, Youth wing district convenor Mohammed Kunhi said that the prophet gave a message to fight for weak and Islam too preaches the same. He called on everyone to fight against injustice to weak.

Block Congress president Harish, Melantabettu gram panchayat president Vimala Melantabettu, Tanniru Panth gram panchayat president Kasim Alike and zilla panchayat member K K Shahul were present.
