Bellary, Dec 9: Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari, Dr Veerendra Heggade, is one among the distinguished achievers from the state, who have been chosen for the ‘Nadoja’ title being conferred annually by Hampi Kannada University.
Writer, Dr Baragur Ramachandrappa, renowned playback singer, P B Srinivas, researcher, Dr M M Kalburgi, and Bayalata artiste, Harijana Padmamma, have been chosen for the title. While Heggade has been picked for his contribution to the field of social service, the others have been selected for unique contribution to literary field, background singing, research, and contribution to folk art, in that order.
The titles will be presented, and the achievers will be felicitated, at the 19th ‘Nudihabba’ programme proposed to be organized in Hampi University premises on December 21 this year.
