Kasargod: Six Including Four Media Persons Injured in Accident

Kasargod, Dec 9: Six persons including four media persons were injured in an accident that occurred in the town on Wednesday December 8. A car hit an auto rickshaw in Vidyanagar in the town, causing the accident.

The media persons who were injured are, L Soumya (Matrubhoomi), Sridharan Pudukunnu (Kerala Kaumudi), Samir (Madhyama), and Narayanan Karicheri (Janayugam). In addition, Rickshaw driver, Prasad from Erinjeri, and car driver, T Ahmed (60) from Keeyur, were also injured. The media persons were moving in the auto rickshaw to the municipal stadium in Vidyanagar in the town, when the car, which suddenly entered the road from a petrol bunk, hit their vehicle, injuring them.

Soumya, whose injuries are of serious nature, was admitted into a private hospital in Mangalore. Others were admitted into a private hospital in the town.

The local policemen have registered a case.
