Mangalore, Dec 9: President of India, Pratibha Devisingh Patil, will be arriving at the local airport at 11.30 am today, to take part in the Vishwa Konkani Ekata Diwas programme scheduled to be held later at Nehru Maidan here.
After the programme, she will take rest at Hotel Gateway here, before proceeding to the airport at 6.00 pm.
During her arrival and departure, traffic diversions will be effected in the city between 11.30 am and 1.30 pm, and again from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. The vehicles of those who will be participating in the programme shall be parked in the cricket ground in Nehru Maidan.
Cultural programmes will be presented from 11.30 am onwards till the President’s arrival at the venue, at Nehru Maidan.
