Mangalore, Dec 5: The first Alumni Meet 2010 of Yenepoya University was inaugurated by Yenepoya Abdulla Kunhi, chancellor, Yenepoya University at the Yenepoya University Campus, Deralakatte on Sunday December 5.

On the occasion, Dr Thomas Thelli, former principal of Yenepoya Dental College and Dr R N Sujeer, former principal, Yenepoya Medical College were felicitated.

Vice chancellor of Yenepoya University Dr P Chandramohan was the chief guest.

Registrar Dr Janardhan Konaje welcomed the gathering and Dr Sheik Rahim, vice-principal, Yenepoya Physiotherapy College proposed the vote of thanks.

Former vice chancellor of Kannur & Calicut Universities Prof Abdul Rahiman, Prof P C M Kunhi, chief executive officer Farhad Yenepoya, Dr Akhter Husain, Dr B H Sripathi Rao, Dr Ghulam Jeelani Qadiri, Dr Samuel George and Prof S Padmakumar were present.

New office bearer's were appointed to the Alumni Association. Mahamood Morthazath got elected as the president of the first Alumni Association of Yenepoya University, Dr Yassir as general secretary and Dr Najil as treasurer.
