Udupi, Dec 3: Lokayukta needs to be given absolute powers with no government intervention, said JD(S) district unit president Deviprasad Shetty.
He was addressing presspersons on Thursday December 2. He informed that soon a protest by the party will be held in front of the deputy commissioner's office pressing the state to fulfill the demand. It is
very important that fair inquiry should be held to bring the corrupt ministers to books for which Lokayukta should be given absolute power, he observed.
Speaking on the land scam, Shetty said that there are many cases wherein Chief Minister’s relatives have been denotified the land for a less price. JD(S) has the list of names, which will be release to the public shortly, he said.
