Udupi: World Aids Day Observed at Malpe Beach

Udupi, Dec 2: Various programmes were held at the Malpe beach here on Wednesday December 1 to mark World Aids Day.

People were made aware of the disease through sand sculpture by Sand Heart team, Manipal. Apart from this, street play and quiz were also organized to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS. Public and students of various schools present took a pledge to spread awareness about HIV/AIDS holding the candles.

The programme was jointly organized by all district HIV prevention programme under the district and family welfare department, Manipal Sand Heart and Unicef.
