Mangalore: New ED of Corporation Bank Takes Charge

Mangalore, Dec 2: Ashwini Kumar took charge as the new executive director (ED) of Corporation Bank, on Wednesday December 1. He has come in the place of Asit Pal, former ED, who retired from services on Tuesday November 30.

His term in the bank will be of five years. Kumar, who joined Allahabad Bank as probationary officer in 1981, is backed by 29 years of experience in banking field. In addition to working in a number of branches of Allahad Bank, he had worked as the head of the international branch of the bank in New Delhi, as assistant general manager in Mumbai, as executive assistant in the office of the chairman, and as the deputy general manager in the head office of the bank.

Ashwini Kumar, who was promoted as general manager in 2006, was working in the department of planning and development at the bank’s head office. In 2008, he was promoted as executive director, and was working in New Delhi till being posted to Corporation Bank.
