Eros Now teams up with Globenet to expand reach in India


New Delhi, Dec 23 (IANS): Eros Now, a leading over-the-top (OTT) platform, owned by Eros STX Global Corporation on Thursday announced it has teamed up with Global Networks Infocom to expand its reach in India.

The Global Networks Infocomm is a supplier of IT infra and network equipment along with value added services to internet service providers, telecom operators across India through its brand called Globenet.

Following this partnership, Eros Now's endless entertainment of largest movie library with over 12,000 digital titles as well as premium original episodic series, music videos will be available to the GNI's vast customer base across India.

Globenet will bundle Eros Now's yearly subscription packs along with their products and services and distribute it to its premium customer base in the country, Eros Now said in a statement.

"Over the past year, we have seen a radical change in consumer behaviour. People are more inclined towards watching new content online as they spend more time at home. With our partnerships with service providers, we are looking at benefiting these consumers by offering a plethora of content and expanding our national reach," said Manpreet Bumrah, Senior Vice President Eros Now and Business Head TechZone.

Eros Now has over 19 million premium paid subscribers, 20.9 million base paid subscribers and 224 million registered users from over 150 countries across the world.

According to Harshal Dalal, Director at Globenet: "India is currently an OTT driven market, and we are delighted to announce our partnership with Eros Now – one of the leading OTT players in India. Through this partnership, we aim to create a holistic digital ecosystem and offer unlimited entertainment with bundled services to our customers."
