Daijiworld Media Network – Panaji (MS)

Panaji, Dec 9: Michael Lobo, minister for ports said that he is ready to resign his position for anyone who is eager to become minister or for any candidate who is not sure of winning the election.

The statement of Lobo comes at a time when the rumours are rife that a cabinet reshuffle is going to take place soon. Lobo said that any interested person should contact CM Sawant and then him.

Replying to the query of scribes of cabinet reshuffle, Lobo said that the PM is going to arrive in Goa on December 19 and the code of conduct will come into force after that.

Lobo said that the state has to take precautions as tourists are pouring in the state amidst rising fear of Omicron and the state needs to take precautions. However, he also said that the state depends mainly on tourists for their revenue and cannot altogether stop the influx of tourists. At the same time, the life of citizens is also vital and there should be a healthy balance between both.
