Shobha Sticks to Dharmasthala Test, Asks HDK to Fix Date

Bangalore, Nov 22: For the second time, Karnataka’s Energy Minister Shobha Karandlaje harped on her offer to prove her innocence before Lord Manjunatha in Sri Kshethra Dharmasthala regarding the corruption charges leveled against her by the former chief minister and state JD(S) president H D Kumaraswamy and has appealed to the latter to fix a date for the visit to prove his allegations.

Releasing copies of a four-page letter written by her to Kumaraswamy on his remarks pertaining to the corruption charges, Shobha claimed that she was totally innocent and had indulged in any acts of corruption or in land denotifications or allotting lands in favour of her or relatives.

All charges leveled by Kumaraswamy against her were baseless and frivolous, she said and asked the JD(S) leader to take up the challenge to prove them before Lord Manjunatha in Dharmasthala.

Kumaraswamy had questioned the integrity of Karandlaje and asked how she can run a company with an investment of crores of rupees just a monthly salary of Rs 15,000 or raise a loan of Rs 3 crore from the State Bank of India by pledging a 50 x 80 ft site in the city or buy 166 acre coffee plantation in Kodagu district.

Answering questions from reporters on the raging controversy regarding the irregularities and favouritism or nepotism in the land denotification, the minister said she was personally against denotification of lands and acquisition of fertile lands of farmers for industrial projects in the State.

She had not allowed any official in her office to seek bribe to get the people’s work done. "I am ready to prove my innocence before Lord Manjunatha in Dharmasthala," she said.

Stating that she had written to the Chief Minister, Urban Development Minister and Bangalore Development Authority Commissioner opposing denotification of lands, Karandlaje said: "Notification and denotification menace is there for the past few decades."

For the last few days, Kumaraswamy has been releasing documents related involvement of the Chief Minister and his children in the alleged land scam. Subsequently, Opposition leaders have been demanding the resignation of Yeddyurappa.

The Opposition questioned the purchase of 166 acres of coffee plantation Tannimani near Bhagmandala, Kodagu district by Karandlaje and her sources of income to buy the property.

Bulshit Challenge. Dharmasthala is a place for those people who practice real " Dharma" and not for such people who practice fake "Dharma". She knows that nothing will happen if she lie in front of Manjuntheshwara Statue as this is the country of thieves who steals the statues from the temple and making their living end by selling them in the black market with out any harm from the god.. After all lord Manjunatha will not spare his time to judge this lady's honesty since her back ground is well known to the locals. Such cheap gimmicks are all just to drive the attention of mamooli public to get some sympathy. So no need to invite any one to any sacred place to prove the innocence , truth will reveal today or tomorrow . Because god sees the truth but he waits. " Sathyameva Jayathe"

Dharmastala represent a holy place to Hindu religion but not a civil/criminal court. Cannot give legal judgement. Shobha can call only uneducated people to Dharmastala to clear official matter in Dharmastala. That is not a High Court. Karnataka's BJP is trying to get people's support by the name of GOD to clear their illegal activities.

Yeddy’s days are numbered. Shoba’s energy is running out. She has no other options now. For her ultimate source of energy she trusts in Dharmastala to prove her innocence. It is not good to annoy god and further harm herself. People of Karnataka know about her contacts in the high places and deriving exceeding wealth with in a short period of time. Yesterday’s Yeddy is tomorrow’s tata, bye-bye. Being gritty women she might challenge Kumaraswamy but her ultimate judgment will have to come from people’s court of Karnataka. People of different relgions
    challege other people who are
    questioning our integrity, try to
    solve the problem through some
    easy short cut "let
us go to that sacred place and
    settle the scores".

So far nobody has died by God's
    punishments. Those people who
are rushing with the proposal of
    settling the problems in the
scared places are 100% sure that they
are not going to be punished even
    if they have committed murder.

Minister Shobha has to prove her
    innocence through legal documents
to counter the allegations of misdeed put forth by her political
enemies. Else, she is going to
    put herself into more serious
    allegations in the days ahead.

    Hello Shobaji,
Y r u calling kumarasawamy, If u r innocent go to Dharmasthala and confess or prove. It is not good to take the name of Lord Manjunatha for political reasons. If you r not guilty then go there and say, you know the power of Lord manjunatha.. if u r wrong then he will surely punish you if ur right u will be safe.
