Mangaluru: Cattle thieves brandish swords, steal cows - VHP threatens protest

Mangaluru, Dec 3: In a shocking robbery that took place in the early morning around 4 am at Bangrakulur in the city on Friday December 3, cattle thieves brandished swords and forcibly took away three cows that were left for grazing in front of Goldfinch City.

The stolen cows belonged to Umesh Malarayasana. The cattle thieves arrived in a Black Scorpio vehicle.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has threatened to hold a protest on December 4 in front of Kavoor police station if the culprits are not arrested within 24 hours.

Shivananda Mendon, district secretary VHP, Bhujanga Kulal, divisional coordinator, Punit Attavar, district coordinator, Pradeep Pumpwell and Pavithr Kerebail visited the house of Umesh and consoled him.

    Those cows may be minced meat by now. Before dusk today, they would also made the money out of this heist. Police will try hard to arrest and may even catch few. When it all disappears from public memory, same scorpio, same people and same swords will again swing into action for another heist. Modi and his BJP is totally responsible.     I only wonder.... when double engine govt., in state, there is law in force..., l there is efficient & effectively functioning law keeping department in town, and above all there are many Gau Rakshaka's around.... functioning informally ...I really don't understand the adventure of fools to steal cattle.....!!!!!, the question is it worth risking.... for a couple of pie.... or the cow meat is so much in demand.....
