Bantwal: Twist in youth missing case – Complaint filed against same person over theft

Bantwal, Dec 1: After a missing case was registered against a youth at the town police station here, a complaint against the same youth has been filed for allegedly stealing gold worth Rs 2.88 crore from Sulthan Diamonds & Gold in Kasargod.

The youth who went missing is identified as Mohammed Farooq, a resident of Talipadpu in Kaikamba at BC Road.

It is said that his wife had filed a complaint at Bantwal town police station alleging that Farooq had left house to play cricket on November 28 at 7.30 am and never returned.

It is now gathered that a case have been registered against Farooq at Kasargod town police station for stealing jewellery from Sulthan Diamonds & Gold showroom.

An employee, who was working in the showroom since one and half year, has stolen gold, diamond and silver worth Rs 2.88 crore, it is alleged in the complaint.

The incident came to light on Saturday November 27 while the accounts of the showroom were checked.

It is said that the Farooq who was working as a sales manager in showroom, fled from the spot while the checking of accounts was in progress on Saturday. He is absconding from Sunday, it is said.

    Sad it came to this.I cant understand ,he was employee there.when shop to be closed who does it usually ?owner or employee.?Since it is worthful shop with gold and silver contains,one has to look around and see everything is there.How he could steal it?He is not there since long,so why dont owner keep a close eye over employees?no use of crying.He must be long ago elsewhere fled.may be in foreign.Blindly one shouldnt let on employees and go home.when he stole it?Does he have key to shop?hope he will be caught.Or he must have already sold long ago.Always leave a emblem on your article to recognize.so that he cant sell easily.

    If he could steal so much from the showroom, more employees must be involved. How come he is able to steal so much without anybody else in the showroom knowing. Isn't there any inventory checking being done regularly?

    Yes Brother, Sanjay Hebri. If peaceful people do such things, it is not acceptable. Theft of ornaments from temple by its staff is not a big issue. Theft from Mookambika temple by its staff is one of such incident. May the peaceful flurish. May god guide mischief mongers and show them the right path.
