Mumbai, Nov 29: Karnataka Sangha Asalfa held their annual cultural programme at Geetambika auditorium, Asalfa, Ghatkoper west on November 27. K M Industries managing director Karunaker M Shetty was the Chief Guest.

Karnataka Sangha Asalfa president Kadandale Suresh S Bhandary presided over the programme. Kannada Kala Kendra Mumbai president T R Madhusoodan and Karnataka Vishwakarma Association Mumbai former president G T Acharya were the guests of honour.

Artist of flower arrangement Mohandas Safaliga, founder member of the sangha, V S Devadiga and wife of former president Leelavati D Poojary were felicitated by the guests. It was announced that the honour to veteran author Dr Sunitha M Shetty will be sent to her residence due to her absence.

Vice president of the sangha, Jayarama G Rai, honorary chief treasurer Shekar Devadiga, advisor Yashodha Battapadi and Shashikala Jathan were on the dais.

Malathi Putran sang a prayer. Vishwanath Dodmane welcomed. Malati Putran, Padmanabha Safaliga, Ashok Kodyadka and Ashok G Poojary introduced the felicities. Honorary chief secretary M Padmanabha Safaliga gave an introduction. Organizer and well known teacher Amratha A Shetty introduced the guests and compered the programme.

Members of the sangha and children performed dances. Kodyadka creation and team members performed a tulu drama ‘Er Tankuver’ written by Bolli Rajesh and directed by Ashok Kumar Kodyadka.
