Bangalore: Six Govt Officials in Lokayukta Net
Bangalore, Nov 16 (PTI): Six government officials were found in possession of assets worth over Rs 7.63 crore, disproportionate to their known sources of income during raids conducted by Lokayukta on their official and residential premises across Karnataka today.
Food Inspector, Hoskote taluk office, S Thimmaraju topped the list with assets worth Rs 1.49 crore including a shopping complex, a two storeyed house and a site in Bangalore, disproportionate to his known total income of Rs 46.50 lakh, a Lokayukta statement said.
Siddarama Ningappa Koganuru, Assistant Executive Engineer Panchayat Raj Engineering Sub Division, Indi taluk was found to possess assets worth Rs 1.40 crore including a two-storeyed building in Bijapur worth Rs 50 lakh against total income of Rs 35 lakh since he joined service in 1983.
K T Mada Shetty, Junior Engineer, Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited, Bidar was found to possess assets worth Rs 1.31 crore including three sites and a two-storeyed house in Mysore. This was against total income of Rs 40 lakh.
Shankara Gowda Anandarayagowda Patil, Assistant Executive Engineer in Bijapur sub-division was found with assets worth Rs 1.17 crore including a duplex bunglow worth Rs 40 lakh and 10 acres worth Rs 1.70 lakh in Bijapur taluk.
Noor Ahmad Khan, Assistant Director Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited, Kittur in Belgaum district was found to possess assets worth over Rs 1.60 crore as opposed to his total income of Rs 68.90 lakh.
C K Prasad, Senior Division Assistant (SDA), Panchayat Raj Engineering division, Chikmagalur was found in possession of assets worth Rs 67.28 lakh disproportionate to his known sources of income.
