Ohio, Nov 16: All of 15 years, Bradly Ivan D'Souza of Cincinnati, Ohio has been been nominated as the "National Scholar" and will be awarded in Washington DC in March 2011. The award is a nationwide recognition for this son of Mangaloreans who hail from Bajpe.

Bradly, son of Harold and Dancy D'Souza couple has also won the President's Volunteer Service Award presented by President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. The young lad has made it in the local USA news and magazine seven or more times since past two years.

Bradly has also been recognized for his volunteery/community service in en-numerous field. Bradly is an exceptional volunteer for the Newport Aquarium's non-profit arm, the WAVE Foundation. Since March of 2010, he has volunteered over 117 hours as a Day Captain. The Day Captains supervise a volunteer staff of 25 people (ages ranging from 14-80) scheduling their shift assignments and break schedule daily.

Bradly has demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality, is conscientious and takes initiative to learn as much as possible from the biology staff about all areas of the facility. His enthusiasm, friendly smile and willingness to learn were just a few of his positive attributes making him an excellent asset to the Newport Aquarium, says Jenny Yee Greber, CVA, manager of volunteer services at Wave Foundation.
