Mangalore: Canara Students Scoop Prizes in ‘Daijiworld Weekly’ Drawing Contest

Mangalore, Nov 14: The winners of the drawing competition conducted by ‘Daijiworld Weekly’ to celebrate Children’s Day are Mangala Nayak of Canara High School, and Anirudh Kamath of Sharada Vidyalaya, in the senior and junior category, respectively.

Mangala is a student of class 9 while Anirudh studies in class 7. The contest saw overwhelming response from across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

For the second consecutive year, Canara group of schools won the highest number of prizes. The drawings were evaluated by William Pais, director, Orchid Art Gallery, Mangalore, and Bhawana Chaudhary Chandra, a professional artist from Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, who was in the city for her solo photography exhibition.
