Bengaluru, Oct 24: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be inaugurating virtually a day-long event of the Big Tech Show at Mysuru on Monday.
State Higher Education and Electronics, IT/BT and S&T Minister Dr C N Ashwath Narayan will address throwing light on opportunities to invest in the city in the wake of programs and initiatives such as ‘Beyond Bengaluru’, ‘Karnataka Digital Economy Mission- KDEM’, 'Make in India', 'Digital India' and 'Startup India'.
The Tech Show comprises Sub-Event of recognizing selected companies and signing of MoU’s between KDEM and Bherunda Foundation, KDEM and ISAC, Felicitation of Glowtouch, Felicitation of industry anchors of Mysuru and KDEM Mysuru proposal of setting up the Center of Excellence (COE) on Cyber Security.
The Tech Expo has gained significance with Mysuru being the first non-capital city to have Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) center in India and an emerging IT hub with the second-largest software exports in the State.
STPI Mysuru also has shown significant progress in nurturing the software industry in the city, and with the city being a prominent educational center has also gained a lot of momentum in Electronic System Designing & Manufacturing (ESDM).
