Mangaluru, Oct 18: The Healthy Baby Contest was conducted at SCS Preschool, Bikarnakatta, by the Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital, a unit of SCS Group of Institutions. Children between the ages of 3 and 6 participated in the contest. There were a total of 43 contestants.
Dr Rajneesh Sorake, president, SCS Group of Institutions was the chief guest for the event. Dr Ravi Rao S, principal of Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College, enlightened the parents about the relevant part played by Ayurveda in maintaining their child's health.
U K Khalid, administrative officer, SCS Group of Institutions, Vinaya D'Souza, principal, SCS Preschools, Dr Jacinta Meena D'Souza, vice principal, Karnataka Ayurveda Medical College and Dr Ajith Kamath M, NSS Coordinator (KAMC) were among the dignitaries present.
The contest was judged by Dr Prasanna Keshav, associate professor, department of Kaumarabhritya (Ayurvedic Paediatrics) and Dr Shubhashree, asst professor, Dept of Swastha Vritta.
Dr Almas Tarannum, asssitant professor, Dept. of Kaumarabhritya and Dr Shruthi N Bhat, asssitant NSS coordinator were present.
Venita Alva compered the programme. Dr Ajith Kamath M delivered the vote of thanks.
