Davanagere, Oct 17: Chief minister (CM) Basavaraj Bommai said that ration will be delivered to homes throughout the state from January 2022.
The CM said that he is confident of flagging off the ‘Padithara Dhanya Yojane’ on January 26, 2022. Speaking at the village stay programme at Surahonne, he said, “Every house should have social security. We have made system for the same. Officials should concentrate more on villages. Experimental Jana Sevaka programme will be held for the same in November. Changes have to be done right from chief secretary of CM to village officials. All facilities should be made available to the villagers at their homes.”
Minister R Ashok said that compensation will be given to those who died of coronavirus within a month. Central govt will give Rs 1.5 lac to BPL card holders and Rs 50,000 to APL card holders.
Bommai taunted Siddaramaiah’s statement that BJP government has not build a single house and said, “We will build four lac houses during our tenure. We have implemented educational policy so that our children will compete at international level.”
Bommai assured that he will implement various schemes including loan facility of one lac for self-help organizations. He also praised the schemed introduced by former CM Yediyurappa and said, “Yediyurappa has given many schemes including Bhagyalaxmi bond and bicycles to children. The government is functioning under his guidance.”

A youth who came to see CM was assaulted by the police. Nitin, the youth suffered bleeding due to the lathi with which he was beaten by the police. Police have defended their action and said that it happened by accident.
