Panaji: Hearing of illegal structures near international airport to be held by HC on Oct 5

Panaji, Oct 5: The Indian Navy is asked to submit a report on the timeline for taking action against the illegal structures which are identified to be demolished near the funnel zone of Goa International airport by the High court of Bombay at Goa.

The 74 structures constructed without permission from Mormugao planning and development authority (MPDA) will also come into the limelight as the Chicalim panchayat is going to submit an affidavit on the same.

In its announcement before postponing the hearing for Tuesday, October 5, the high court said, “Timeline will be given by the Flag Officer Commanding with regards to the timeline in relations to the structures that have allegedly come up in the funnel zone other than 60/2 in the survey to be disposed off.”

The high court also asked the Chicalim panchayat to submit a report on the 74 structures in the funnel area that have come up without any permission from MPDA.
