Wilson Olivera's New Music Album to be Dedicated to Wilfy Rebimbus

Dubai, Oct 20: Wilson Olivera’s 5th Konkani musical album 'Tuvem Gaitana' will be released during the grand finale of Gulf Voice of Mangalore on Friday October 22 at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai by Veena Rebimbus, daughter of the legendary Konkani singer the late Wilfy Rebimbus.

The album, being dedicated to Konkann Kogull the late Wilfy Rebimbus, will be one-of-its-kind that is guaranteed to touch the chords of every heart that listens to it. Known for his excellent lyrical compositions, Wilson Olivera is now ready to set listeners' hearts ablaze with his new album which has in it songs paying tribute to the late Wilfy Rebimbus and also to the Mangalore plane crash victims.

Music maestro Wilson Olivera has been awarded with the prestigious ‘Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy’, ‘Divo Sahitya Puraskar while titles such as 'Sangeeth Sardar' and 'Konkan Manik' too have been bestowed on him.

This album also comprises ten more romantic and sentimental songs like 'Lavina Priyanka,' 'Tum Chedum Konachem,' Kitlexeo Rathi,' 'Priya,' 'Baile Baile' etc.

 

Renowned music composer and director Sangeeth Guru Joel Pereira has scored foot-tapping and soul-touching background music for the album. The album has been recorded at Rajsri Studio, Calicut and at Sandesha Studio, Mangalore.

Rony D’Cunha, Pradeep Pinto, Prashanth Pinto, Zeena Pereira, Babita Pinto, have rendered their melodious voices for the album along with Wilson Olivera.

The lyricist-singer Wilson Olivera has already launched four albums in the market and has over 800 compositions to his name. He has also successfully performed 29 Musical Nites in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Mangalore, Bangalore and Mumbai. His 30th musical show is slated to be staged on January 9, 2011 at St Agnes Special School Ground, Mangalore.

'Tuvem Gaitana' which is being produced by Pradeep Pinto, has its tunes and lyrics composed by Wilson Olivera. So don’t forget to grab a copy of Tuvem Gaitana, before it runs out of stock!

    Really a good CD. All the songs are excellent and as commented the songs paying tribute to wilfy and plane crash victims are magnificient. Also the song"Mamma"is very well sung by Pradeep and Prashanth Pinto and as commented the chorus "Tu nathlo gaavn to gaavn nai . . . "really brings tears in eyes and makes them remind their mother who have have lost so. All other romantic numbers are also excellent. Beutiful Lyrics and tunes.     Good work Wilson Oilvera, after listening to the CD the comments written by all justfies. Song's "Tuvem Gaitana', 'Mamma', "Plane crash", are heart touching. The chorus of 'mamma' song is very much heart touching, it give a person a real feel for a person who has lost his / her mother. Its been sung well, even the music composed for it is too good.     Congratulation Wilson Olivera on the release of your new album. Heard the whole CD 10 times, still feel like listenting to it again and again. Good lyrics Wilson especially the songs, "Tuvem Gaitana", "Air India Crash", "Mamma". The sentence which tuched my heart were "Tujya Talayak Tallo melonchi Konkan Maina Eksure Zalli"- from the tribute song for Wilfy Rebimbus & "Tuv Natllo Gav to Gav Nai, Tuv natllo zaggo to Zaggo nai" from Song "Mamma", really heart touching lyrics. I am very much sure Wilson one day you will reach Wilfy Rebimbus level. You have a great talent. Keep it up!

    Rohan, I totally agree with you. Even I too attended Gulf Voice of Mangalore finels. The song played during the release of the CD, the voice was just sounding like Wilfy's. Very true Wilson Olivera's voice is just like our Konkan Kogul Late Wilfy Rebimbus. Wilson Oilvera best of luck.

    Wow! I do not have words to explain about this album after listening to this. I bought this album during the function of Gulf Voice of Mangalore, Dubai... All the songs are Ek Se Dad Kar Ek. Tribute to Wilfy Rebimbus & Mangalore Plane Crash is heart touching. I have listened to other composer’s tribute song to Wilfy Rebimbus, but none of them can be compared with Wilson's lyrics. Wilson Olivera you have a great talent. I am very much sure you will reach Wilfy Rebimbus level one day. All the best.

    CD cover design is very impressive. Mr. Pradeep Pinto I met you when you were the branch manager of Adsyndicate in Mangalore, but I really do not know whether you remember me or not, its quite a long time. By seeing the design of this CD I could guess its Adsyndicates job, its professionally created, right color for the right theme & good font ion, something unique when you compare with other Konkani CD designs I wish Mr.Olivera & you all the best in this project.

    Congratulation Wilson, You have a great voice same as Wilfy Rebimbus. When you sang “Sanz Zali Re” during the tribute ceremony for Wilfy Rebimbus at Kundapur, the whole crowd felt Wilfy Rebimbus is still alive in your voice it was sounding as if Wilfy Rebimbus himself was singing the song.
