Wilson Olivera's New Music Album to be Dedicated to Wilfy Rebimbus

Dubai, Oct 20: Wilson Olivera’s 5th Konkani musical album 'Tuvem Gaitana' will be released during the grand finale of Gulf Voice of Mangalore on Friday October 22 at Sheikh Rashid Auditorium, Dubai by Veena Rebimbus, daughter of the legendary Konkani singer the late Wilfy Rebimbus.
The album, being dedicated to Konkann Kogull the late Wilfy Rebimbus, will be one-of-its-kind that is guaranteed to touch the chords of every heart that listens to it. Known for his excellent lyrical compositions, Wilson Olivera is now ready to set listeners' hearts ablaze with his new album which has in it songs paying tribute to the late Wilfy Rebimbus and also to the Mangalore plane crash victims.
Music maestro Wilson Olivera has been awarded with the prestigious ‘Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy’, ‘Divo Sahitya Puraskar while titles such as 'Sangeeth Sardar' and 'Konkan Manik' too have been bestowed on him.
This album also comprises ten more romantic and sentimental songs like 'Lavina Priyanka,' 'Tum Chedum Konachem,' Kitlexeo Rathi,' 'Priya,' 'Baile Baile' etc.
Renowned music composer and director Sangeeth Guru Joel Pereira has scored foot-tapping and soul-touching background music for the album. The album has been recorded at Rajsri Studio, Calicut and at Sandesha Studio, Mangalore.
Rony D’Cunha, Pradeep Pinto, Prashanth Pinto, Zeena Pereira, Babita Pinto, have rendered their melodious voices for the album along with Wilson Olivera.
The lyricist-singer Wilson Olivera has already launched four albums in the market and has over 800 compositions to his name. He has also successfully performed 29 Musical Nites in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Mangalore, Bangalore and Mumbai. His 30th musical show is slated to be staged on January 9, 2011 at St Agnes Special School Ground, Mangalore.
