Riyadh, Sep 30: On Wednesday, at the centre's headquarters, the ambassador of Vietnam to Saudi Arabia Vu Viet Dung met the supervisor general of King Salman Humanitarian aid and Relief centre, Dr Abdullah Al- Rabeeah.

In the meeting, discussions about the latest developments in the relief and humanitarian projects provided by the kingdom through the centre to the Vietnamese people took place. The ambassador was also briefed on the centre's projects and programmes which has amounted to more than 1,700 projects in 70 countries.

The Vietnamese ambassador praised Ks relief's neutral methodology in delivering humanitarian aid to affected countries around the world.

Dung said that he is thankful to KS relief for supporting Vietnam with aid. We are happy with the co-operation between the two countries, and believe that they will continue to maintain the momentum of development and bilateral relations.

To help Vietnam in its fight to combat the covid-19 pandemic, KS relief sent $500,000 in medical aid and equipment.

The ambassador said, "KS relief is a humanitarian organization that shows the love of the Saudi people, headed by King Salman for communities around the world." The Vietnam embassy feels that the kingdom has implemented very good epidemic prevention measures right from the early days of the pandemic and has achieved very good results.

Dung said that Vietnam is still facing difficulties as they continue to fight the pandemic. The envoy said, "It is better now, but we still need support from abroad. He hopes that Saudi will provide vaccines, medicines, medical supplies and equipment for pandemic prevention."
