Pitch Invader Jarvo charged with trespass, to appear in court on Oct 12

London, Sep 28 (IANS): Daniel Jarvis, better known as Jarvo 69, has been charged with aggravated trespass after invading the pitch during the fourth Test between England and India at The Oval. Jarvis, wearing an India Test jersey, invaded the pitch thrice in three different venues during the Test series between England and India.

"Daniel Jarvis is due to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court on Tuesday October 12. It follows an incident on Friday, September 3 in which a man gained access to the pitch at the south London ground and collided with England batsman Jonny Bairstow during the fourth test against India. He was arrested on September 3 and taken into custody, before being released on bail and later charged as above," read a report by newsshopper.co.uk on Tuesday.

The incident happened on second day of The Oval Test during an over by Umesh Yadav. Jarvis was spotted running onto the pitch and trying to bowl at England's Ollie Pope but crashed into non-striker Jonny Bairstow. After being removed from the ground, he was taken into custody at a South London police station on suspicion of assault.

Jarvis first ran onto the pitch before the start of the third session on day three of Lord's Test and began setting the field, leaving pacer Mohammed Siraj in splits. After being taken off by security, Jarvis was banned from entering Lord's.

Jarvis repeated his act on third day of the Headingley Test, when he walked onto the pitch in batting gear and took guard. He was promptly removed from the stadium and was banned from entering the stadium premises for life by Yorkshire County and Cricket Club (YCCC).

Jarvis has a YouTube account named ‘Jarvo69 aka BMWJarvo' with 163,000 subscribers and described as 'The Greatest Prankster of all time!!!'.
