Mangaluru, Sep 24: An unknown man placed books and pamphlets glorifying Christian religion on the gates of more than 15 houses behind Someshwar railway station on the morning of Friday September 24. Tension prevailed in the locality due to this incident.
Bajrang Dal unit of Ullal visited the locality and took all the material into their possession. They are trying to contact the person whose mobile number is mentioned on the pamphlets.
It is gathered, on Friday morning, a man wearing lungi placed pamphlets and books written in Kannada and Malayalam on the gates of 15 houses near Someshwar railway station. An elderly woman noticed him and thought that he was a salesman and said that she does not want anything. But he still kept pamphlets and stickers on the gate of her house and escaped from the spot.
Due to the act of the stranger, a tense situation prevailed in the area. It is accused by locals that these books and pamphlets are kept with the intention of religious conversion. Bajrang Dal activists of Ullal gathered on the spot. Information was relayed to Ullal police station also.
