Mumbai, Sep 20: Kannadiga Patrakartara Sangha held their eleventh and twelfth annual general body meetings together at Club House auditorium, Solitary corporate park, Andheri east on Sunday morning, September 19.
Rons Bantwal who presided over the meeting said that nobody will adopt the profession of a journalist if they know how difficult their life is.
Vice president Ranga S Poojay, Ashok S Suvarna, honorary secretary Ravindra Shetty Talipady, joint treasurer Dr G P Kusuma, Patrakartara Bhavan committee president Dr Shiva Moodugere were on the dais. Joint treasurer Dr G P Kusuma tabled the decision that CA I R Shetty, chartered accountant has been reappointed auditor for the year 2021-22.
Advisor Surendra A Poojary said that the work of the Sangha is valuable to mould sincere journalists and make them obtain proper position and respect. Member Nityananda Kotian said that the efforts of the Sangha to bring journalists in the framework of discipline are praiseworthy.
Executive committee members Vishwanath Poojary Niddodi, Dr Dinesh Shetty Renjala, Nagaraj K Devadiga, Anita P Poojary Thakode, Jayanth K Suvarna, advisory committee members Dr Sunita M Shetty, Gregory D Almeida, Navinchandra R Sanil, Sudhaker Uchil, specially invited members S Daya, Sadananda K Safaliga Shirva, Savita S Shetty and Karunaker V Shetty were present. Homage was paid to the departed member Sripathi S Champa and journalists who passed away during the last year.
Ranga S Poojary welcomed. Ashok S Suvarna read the report of the previous year’s annual meeting. Nagesh Poojary Elinje gave details of previous year’s accounts. Shiva Moodugere explained the services of the Sangha. Ravindra Shetty Talipady explained the annual activities and rendered a vote of thanks.
